AGE OF LIFE: On the Origin of Everything
While his main project, Collapse Under the Empire, is taking a creative hiatus, co-founder Chris Burda is using the time for an ambitious solo project: With *Age of Life*, he is creating a musical concept album about the evolution of life on Earth. Spanning two albums, he traces the evolution from the first traces of organic existence to the emergence of consciousness and human civilization. The series kicks off with “Emergence – Part I,” which will be released on October 30, 2026, and features eight instrumental compositions. Musically, cool electronic structures meet cinematic soundscapes, atmospheric post-rock, and melancholic echoes of the 1980s. Influences from soundtrack aesthetics and art rock round out this intense sonic universe.
