DESIGN: Post-punk from Italy
SPONSORED POST

Design were founded in Italy in 2008 and have always stood for sophisticated post-punk. On May 15th, Design will release their third studio album, entitled “Faithless”. The album could almost be understood as a conceptual work, as it thematizes loss as a lens through which a present emptied of meaning can be interpreted. Loss is meant both personally and symbolically. “Faithless” doesn’t just refer to a lack of (religious) faith, it refers to the state of our reality: the loss of faith in society, and in a world where respect and equality are apparently no longer values.
Design themselves describe the song “Red Dragon” as “an apocalyptic vision of humanity corrupted by greed and violence. Using biblical imagery and contemporary devastation, the track depicts a world that reaps what it has sown while innocence is sacrificed.”
