February 14- music be my valentine!
Roses and chocolates were yesterday! On Valentine’s Day, the Würzburg Posthalle shook with concentrated female power. Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum), Lena Scissorhands (Infected Rain) and Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie), together with their respective band colleagues, unleashed a veritable metal firework display and gave everyone who loves hard sounds an unforgettable evening. A perfect Valentine’s Day for all those who like it loud and passionate!

AD INFINITUM: Power, Melodic and Progressive!

Founded in 2018 by singer Melissa Bonny, Ad Infinitum has become a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene since their debut single “I Am the Storm”. Their style – a dynamic mix of power and symphonic metal – has been enriched with elements of metalcore and djent since their second album, giving their sound a modern and progressive edge. The band, whose members come from Germany and Switzerland, has built up a steadily growing fan base. At the concert in Würzburg, they presented a cross-section of their work, with half of the songs coming from the current album “Abyss”. It is characterized by fast riffs, rhythmic choruses and the unmistakable, versatile voice of Melissa Bonny, which harmonizes perfectly with the music. Ad-Infinitum concerts are an experience that not only inspires die-hard metal fans. The band’s energetic live performance, combined with their musical diversity and Melissa Bonny’s charismatic stage presence, makes their gigs an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates a rousing and high-quality live performance.

INFECTED RAIN: Deathwall and Metalcore
Infected Rain, the Moldovan metalcore band founded in 2008, is known for its energetic live performances. Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands (Elena Cataraga) is the band’s most charismatic and dazzling figure, while guitarist Vadim Vidick Ozhog also stands out with his dynamic stage presence. Musically, the band moves in an intense, grooving area between metalcore and nu-metal, enriched with elements of prog metal and djent. Lena Scissorhands’ vocal style is extremely versatile and ranges from powerful screams to melodic clean vocals and deep growls. Infected Rain ‘s concerts are characterized by a high level of intensity and an electrifying atmosphere. Lena Scissorhands knows how to captivate the audience with her voice and her impressive stage presence. A defining element of the Würzburg concert was the interaction with the audience. Front woman Lena asked the audience to sit down and then jump along with her. Another part of the staging was the attempt to initiate a “Wall of Death”. Although this action did not quite materialize in the planned form, but instead formed a mosh pit and a circle pit, it still created a lot of movement and an exuberant atmosphere in the crowd. The set of this energetic performance featured nine songs, with six songs focusing on the current album “Time”.

ELUVEITIE: Folk metal from the masters of their craft
Eluveitie‘s unique blend of traditional death metal and folk instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, flute and mandolin created a captivating atmosphere. Singer Chrigel Glanzmann gave his all and offered the audience an energetic performance that captivated them from the first to the last minute. Eluveitie not only presented their classics in the Würzburg Posthalle, but also no fewer than six songs from their new album “Ànv”, which will be released on April 25, 2025. Shortly after 23:00, an intense musical Valentine’s Day came to an end in the well-attended Würzburg Posthalle.
