Interview with ARGOROK (2/2)

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

The rising stars of extreme metal, Argorok, are back with their new EP, “Omen.” We’re talking to the band in two parts. Did you miss the first part? You can read it here.

Think outside the box

A highlight of the EP is the collaboration with Aello die Windböe (Harpyie) on the song “Enklave.” Bill explains how it came about: “It was a pretty spontaneous idea. The song was supposed to have a clean vocal part in the first verse. At the time, I was listening to Harpyie’s songs quite often, and at some point it occurred to me that it might actually be a good fit. Aello’s voice is quite a contrast to what we usually do, but I think that’s exactly what makes collaborating with other musicians so exciting.”

Practice makes perfect

In particular, singer Boa’s deep, guttural voice gives Argorok’s martial songs a distinctive element. “Technique is everything. If it starts to feel uncomfortable or hurts, stop, rest, and try again a day or two later. “I experimented for a long time to find the technique that worked for me. Your individual sound just comes naturally. Classical voice lessons helped me learn proper breathing techniques,” the frontman reveals, explaining how he protects his voice in the face of such challenges.
