Anyone who equates Anyone who Pop doesn’t know the artist. Although “Zig” is clearly more poppy than usual, it is full of power. While “Church Outfit” combines Industrial elements, “Knock off” – like numerous other pieces – is entirely electronic. In “Hard” Poppy proves with screams how multifaceted her voice is. Other vocal effects also follow throughout the album. Each of the eleven short but spicy songs stands on its own and plays with the most diverse elements. If you manage to pay attention to the lyrics while listening to the driving beats, you will sometimes discover profundity. “Zig” is a well-rounded thing.
