Every time gives birth to its own music, if the latter is meaningful. At the top of its lungs, “Hegemonikon” screams in its menacing, beautiful darkness. And leaves, without reproachful forefinger, a reminder that corresponds to the album title: What happened to reason? The subtitle “A Journey to the End of Light” sums up the listening experience well. The dark folk is joined by more electronic sounds. No lively-naive, but gloomy, hard tones, which harmonize perfectly with the familiar ROME sounds. “Hegemonikon” is a meditative journey full of thoughts, feelings and timeless fresh sound.
